Users

The Users page provides a comprehensive overview of all registered users on the platform. It allows admins to manage user accounts effectively, monitor activity, and enforce platform policies.

Displayed Information

  • ID: The unique identifier for each user.
  • Username: The username associated with the user account.
  • Email: Registered email address of the user.
  • Name: Full name of the user.
  • Avatar: Profile image of the user.
  • IP Address: IP address from which the user accesses the platform.
  • User Created: Date and time the user account was created.
  • Flagged: Indicates whether the user is currently flagged for review.

Search Users

  • Functionality: Utilize the search bar to find users by FID, name, or email, enhancing the ability to quickly locate and manage user accounts.

Admin Operations

Admins have several tools at their disposal to manage user accounts:

Edit User Details

  • Change User Roles: Adjust the role and permissions of a user. Available roles typically include standard user, admin, and potentially others.

    • Banning a User: Setting a user’s role to “banned” is a critical action. When a user is banned, the system will also attempt to record their last known IP address and add it to a list of banned IPs, preventing further access from that IP. Ensure an IP address is recorded for the user before selecting this role.
  • Set Custom Commissions and Limits: Define custom commission percentages and usage limits for specific users. This overrides any plan-based defaults.

    • Fields include:
      • Artist Limit (Number of artists a user can manage)
      • Song Limit (Number of songs a user can upload/manage)
      • YouTube MCN Commission (%)
      • Rights Administration Commission (%)
      • Music Distribution Commission (%)
      • Use Custom MCN Commission (Toggle to enable/disable the custom MCN commission rate)
    • NOTE: When you set custom limits or commissions, that user is effectively switched to a custom configuration. If the user has an active subscription (e.g., via Stripe), you may need to manually cancel it to avoid billing conflicts.
  • Block Access: Admins can restrict user access to specific platform services. This is useful for temporarily or permanently limiting a user’s capabilities without fully banning them. Access can be blocked for:

    • YouTube MCN features
    • Music Distribution services
    • Rights Administration functionalities
    • Payout capabilities

Whitelist Rights

  • Manage Rights Whitelisting: Admins can toggle a user’s “rights whitelist” status. This typically affects how the system processes their content submissions, particularly for rights assertion. A whitelisted user might bypass certain automated checks or require less documentation for their claims.

Flagging System

Flag User

  • Internal Notes: Add notes regarding the reason for flagging a user.
  • Send Warnings: Issue warnings directly to users from the flagging interface.
  • Visibility: Flagged users are highlighted throughout the dashboard to alert admins during interaction with any service.

The flagging system provides a robust mechanism for monitoring and actioning user accounts that may require additional scrutiny.

  • Flagging and Warnings: Flag suspicious or problematic users and communicate directly via warnings, helping to maintain platform integrity and user compliance.
